This topic has probably been posted a million times but I'm curious. Which Becky did you like better?

I chose Lecy. Sarah Chalke was way to preppy and pretty to play this role. Her acting wasn't all that good either. She was a little too fake. Lecy's character was supposed to be on the white-trash side, whereas Sarah's character acted like she was high-maintenance but trying to live the blue collar life. She belonged on "Friends", but not "Roseanne".

I liked Sarah better. Lecy ALWAYS came across as a b****y person who was a know-it-all.

Well obviously I definitely perfer Lecy Goranson all the way. Lecy created the role, she created the big eye expression, she created the saying of "Mother!", Lecy created everything there is about Becky. When Sarah came on she was just not Becky, she was a total airhead and did things that Lecy's Becky would never do. I have no problem with Sarah Chalke the actress but I do have a problem with the character Becky in seasons 6 and 7.

I liked Lecy better because she is Becky. She is definatly what Becky should be like. She has the personality of what a blue-collar Becky should be. It was hard to get used to her when she came back in season eight, but she is still the one and only Becky.

Lecy, definately. She was the original and she had her part down exreamly well. Then Sarah came, and it just wasn't the same at all. Sarah's Becky acted different. I liked her, but she was just no comparision to Lecy.

Lecy. She was orginally Becky, and i think she can act much better than Sarah Chalke.

Lecy. Sarah always had a stupid smirk on her face like she was trying not to laugh. She looked unprofessional and lost among the better actors. She couldn't keep her character even when she delivered a single line. She also spoke with an annoying lisp.

I choose Lecy. It's so tricky to replace a main character. Often times there is a slight character change. It's bound to happen. But from Lecy to Sarah, the change was extreme. Do I even need to explain how so? In short, Lecy played a smart girl, and Sarah played a ditz. She wasn't even close to the same Becky. It was ridiculous. It was annoying. But then, I don't care for the show nearly as much after season 4 anyway.

I picked Lecy Goranson. She seemed more real plus she had more attitude than Sarah Chalke. The new Becky seemed too nice to play the role of Becky and always walked kind of weird with a bounce almost.

Lecy Goranson hands down. Sarah's acting wasn't good at all she didn't come across as the spoiled brat the way Lecy played it, which was good acting.

I think both had their ups and downs.
Lecy played Becky with more bite, Sarah played Becky with a softer edge. You could tell the difference between the two with their interactions with Darlene. Becky #1 wasn't afraid to throw acid back at Darlene while Becky #2 was so easy to make fun of. You could really tell the differences in the chemistry when you see the season 8 episodes (when Lecy was back), because Darlene and Becky came off so much closer during that year than you ever saw Darlene and Sarah Chalke's Becky. In season 8, you could tell that Becky and Darlene actually were "best friends" as well as sisters, sorta like Roseanne and Jackie, but yet you never really saw such a chemistry with Darlene and Becky #2. |

I really didn't like either of the Becky's..but I chose Becky #1. The 2nd Becky just didn't fit into the Conner family.
