guest appearance in a episode of Good Times? He made a guest appearance in the episode-Matter of Mothers, when Penny's Original Mother returned and tried to take Penny back from Willona. But John Witherspoon was a Cop in this episode and had Bookman by the collar and I was staring at the cop and then all of a sudden said-"That's a young John Witherspoon"LOL

He's such a total cut up I can't imagine him playing any type of serious character. He and Jane't Dubois would costar on the Wayans Brothers too. In The Wayans she was the grandmother, but I don't remember if she was Pop's mother or the mother's mother. They never showed the mother at all. I remember that in the earliest Wayans' episodes they would sometimes dress Pops in normal attire like polo shirts and sweaters, but after year 1 they just let loose with it and put him in the loud 70s shirts, white shoes and bowties. Like Pops hadn't been clothes shopping since James Evans was alive on Good Times in 1976.

I believe Ja"net was his mother in law on the Wayans. Personally I think she should have played their mother! They would have gotten alot more laughs out of that IMO!

You're probably right, MarvinG.

The Wayans were big time Good TImes fans too. I think they had an episode with a few of the Good Times actors in it. And they made quite a few references to the show in their series.
