Is it? My friend Nick says it is, but I do not know. I need someone else's opinion on this.

I was about to say yes, but I realized that I'm very lucky in that my parents have both always been there for me and love me the same amount. Not everyone's been so fortunate. I know I love both my parents the same, but I'd say it depends on the situation. If a parent leaves or abandons their child then no, the child shouldn't be required to love that parent the same as they do the one who stayed and raised them. Just a thought.

Yes and No. It depends on the situation you're at with your parents and how they have treated you over the years.

I said no, it's not wrong to love one more than the other. Speaking from experience, I could only reciprocate the love I was given, and I went through life being shown love from only one parent, not both.

I'd say it's ok because I'm alot closer to my mom than I am to my dad. I love them both though

No. If you have a parent that sucks, why love them the same as a good parent?

I don't think it is, especially if you have a mother that you've had contempt for to this day because of things she did to me when I was a kid, mostly physical & emotional abuse. Of course, I haven't told her yet that I have contempt for her. She is so unpredictable with the way she acts, even to this day. I can remember when I was growing up, she constantly threatened to divorce my dad(BTW, they're still married 41 years), and my sister & I would always say that if that happened, we definitely wanted to go live with our dad.

My mother treats me very well, works to keep me and my brother living in a wonderful, comfortable house, and helps me. My father lives on his own, a mile away, and loves my brother more than me. Is it wrong in my case?

It is if you go out of your way to show you love one more than the other especially if they both treat you the same, but I mean.. I think everyone always prefers one or the other at some point, but just because you prefer one of another, doesnt mean you love them more.

No. I don't love either one of my parents. My mom's a drug addict who can't carry on a conversation without screaming cuss words at me in a daze. And my father used to abuse me, I hardly see him anymore too. He doesn't like any of us.
