Thumbs up Something I just thought about...Possible good news about FOL on Nick at Nite!

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but it DOES make sense. I'm not sure if someone brought it up before but The Facts of Life might be back on Nick at Nite sooner than we think. If this reunion movie does well ratings wise, it could very well catch the attention of Nick at Nite making them put the show back on! Think about it...it makes perfect, logical sense even though Nick at Nite doesn't most of the time!

Who knows...to celebrate the reunion they could have a special marathon or something.

You never know! And don't hate me if it doesn't happen because I DON'T work for Nick at Nite! --

I don't want to get all your hopes if this doesn't happen but I just wanted to post my opinion about FOL on NAN.

Cool

Yes, that is a perfectly logical situation!! I would be very happy if there was a marathon, then I could get all the eps on tape...

It's logical and rational, but then we know N@N to be neither. When the Disney's movie Gadget Boy was released, I expected the Inspector Gadget cartoon to surface as a way to plug the movie, but it never surfaced until last month. Fandemoniums are soon to end shortly.

More wishful thinking. Perhaps N@N has quietly sold FOL to someone else.

You never know! If you have any friends with Nielson boxes, tell them to put the TVs on ABC for the marathon!

I think that NAN is just about finished with FOL. I do think that FOL will be bought by someone though. There are sooo many channels now that some of them are desperate for programming to fill air time. With the built in fanbase and young target audience, this makes FOL highly desirable still. Plus it's cheaper to buy than many other shows.

My bets are:

Hallmark Channel
Disney Channel
TNN
Lifetime
Fox Family

Hallmark already has a lot of family friendly sitcom programming, FOL would be a nice addition.

Disney Channel would be perfect, this is after all the Growing Pains channel. They aired Growing Pains alot after their reunion. This would be a perfect fit. Plus, FOL is a much better show than GP. In my opinion anyway, though I liked GP in its day.

TNN seems like a bit of a long shot since they are basically NAN daytime but they have alot of airtime to fill too.

Now, Lifetime would be completely appropriate! They already show Designing Women and Golden Girls so they are not against sitcom programming. And look at the similarities between the programs. FOL IS a female targeted program after all. Plus they are the Nancy McKeon friendly network!

Fox Family is probably a longshot too but I include them since much of their programming seems to be family friendly sitcoms, that leaves them a definite possibility.

That's just my opinion, but I think we'll see FOL again eventually. In fact, once NAN is done, I bet that we see FOL back by Spring or Fall 2002 on another channel.

Why does NAN HAVE to show 2 in a row every night? If they just showed 1 shows of each series every night, there would be plenty of room.

Also, I think they need to move AITF or Jeffersons off NAN. They are shown on TV Land and there are always fandemoniums about them. Or just reduce them to one episode a night at a later time slot.

MY idea of a good NAN schedule

8:30- Brady Bunch
9:00-Diff'rent Strokes
9:30-FOL
10:00- Family Ties
10:30- Cheers
11:00-Three's Company
11:30- Jefferson's
12:00-All in the Family

It just doesnt make sense why they don't put on FOL.

Madness, you're right about it being a logical thing to do, but I haven't seen any evidence of logic from N@N regarding FOL for a *long* time. We can always hope...

Your right if there was only one episode of something different half hour then there would be room for FOL but of course Nick at nite being the crazy FOL haters they are made up some kind of an excuse not to show FOL by saying there wasn't enough time for it and AITF is on Tv land so it shouldn't be on nick at nite. Not that I don't like AITF I just like FOL better.
I don't think Nick at nite would have a marathon for FOL because like I said before they hate FOL and are trying to keep it off as long as they possibly can.
