Default Albums you weren't wild about at first, but grew on you

what were some albums that you didn't care too much for the first time you heard it, but in due time, you wound up loving?

I wasn't too crazy about John Mayer's album "Heavier Things" when I first listened to it, but after a while, I started to enjoy it very much.

I can't think of any, because when I by a CD I actually want to buy it. In more cases, it's the opposite for me. I'll buy an album and listen to it, then later on really get sick of it. Who knows, maybe there is an album I have I never listen to I should give it a chance and I might like it!

I remember going into my brother's room when I was 6 or 7 while he was playing Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. Breathe was on and I asked him "What's this s**t?"

DSOTM ended up being one of my favorite albums later on when I was in Middle School

come on!!! certainly before the advent of downloading, you found yourself buying cd's you didn't like that much. CD's were around 15 years+ before mp3's.

And.... you CAN count albums you downloaded, did you know that? Like I counted John Mayer's Heavier Things, which I downloaded when it came out, but I didn't buy an actual copy of it until last week. I didn't like the album when I first heard it, but then it grew on me.

Same here. I still don't think it's his best work, but oh well.

Any Mariah Carey songs...I listen to them once, and hate them. Then, I listen a few times, and fall in love with them.

Kylie Minogue - Body Language and Madonna - American Life. Didn't really like them much at first, but now I like at least half the songs off both.

Dream Theater's "Scenes from a Memory". I listened to it, it didn't hit me, put it away for a few months, listened to it again, still nothing, put it away again. Now I listen to it ALL THE TIME!!

Elephunk by Black Eyed Peas. I couldn't stand "Where is the Love," so there was no way I was going to download the album, but I decided to give it a try and now I love it. "Hey Mama" is one of my favorite songs now. I'm not really into English Hip-Hop, but this is a great album.
