Good link, Agebra74!
Did you check out the "Best Of'' dvds? I'm so glad they put out the whole series first! I've got more TDVDS on tapes and dvds than I know what to do with. Steve |

Thank you so much for posting that link. I can't wait to get all of them! My season 4 set should arrive by the end of next week!

I think that the fourth season was the best of the five seasons. What do you think? Also, I was wondering if anyone had the Neilson ratings of all five seasons of the show. I knew that it was in the top 10 for three of its five seasons, I am just not sure which one of the seasons it was not, other than the first.

I can't wait for season 4, either. Lately every time I get an urge to watch an episode, it turns out to be from either season 4 or 5! I never realized how this show got better as it went on.

According to Lawrence M. Bernarbo, the #2 Reviewer on Amazon.com, the Nielsen Ratings for TDVDS, by season, break down as follows: Season 1 - 80th Season 2 - 9th Season 3 - 3rd Season 4 - 7th Season 5 - 16th Steve |

Thank you SawgrassSteve for that information. Although 16th place is still very good, I wonder why it dropped that low during its fifth season?

The ratings probably slipped because it was in black and white.
Just about every other show on the primetime network schedules in 1966 was in color. In fact, the only other show I can think of that was b&w as late as 1966 would be The Avengers, which was in b&w because it was a British import (asthough it was in color in 1967, specifically for the American audience). Best, Jason |

I am glad the DVD remained in black & white though it will be interesting to see the reunion in color , I think b&w lends a more mysterious quality than color does.

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that Lost in Space, Bewitched, and I Dream of Jeannie were all in black and white until their 1966-1967 season.

You're right about Lost In Space, Bewitched, and I Dream Of Jeannie. That's the same year Gunsmoke went to color too.
