How could that guy pull out all of their pipes that quick? They were waitng for him at the diner.

Maybe he had an electric saw. There really isn't that much work involved if you are just cutting the pipes and hauling them away.

Interesting Fact
Otto, "the copper guy" was played by Leonard Stone. He is most famous for playing Violet's (the exploading blueberry's) father in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
