Now that N@N had startd airing the episodes starting with "Life and Stuff" Ep. 1, is anyone going to try and tape the whole series and get all eps on tape/dvd? I am.
Does anyone already have all the eps? If so how did you do it and when? |

I have episode nos 1-58 already on tape, with the exception of episode nos 39 and 40. The day those ones were supposed to be recorded, infomercials were being played instead, so I will have to get those two when Nick has them on. I record the episodes off of Oxygen for reason that I have already explained like a million times but here they are agian anyway:
All episodes (N@N doesn't show all of them) in order (N@N shows them out of order, especially around two part episodes, so that they will play on the same night. Oxygen will split up two parters between two different days if they must to keep the episodes running in order. N@N would never be caught doing that). Oxygen also doesn't edit as much as N@N, or at least I don't think they do. |

Okay. Right now I have the first 8 episodes of the series because N@N just started over like this weekend. I'm going to wait until Oxgyen starts over so it will be better. Thanks for the tips.

You have a long wait ahead of you if you're going to do that. Oxygen is only in the middle of season 3 right now.

I was going to try and tape all the episodes on Nikc@Nite since they just started up with episode 1. But since I wasn't going to be home the weekend after, I set the VCR timer but forgot to put a video tape in there before I left
So I guess I'll just wait to tape them on oxygen. I'm thinking that I will try and put one whole season on each tape (recording in the slowest mode), so I can start taping Oxygen's episodes as soon as they reach season 4, and start taping Nick@Nite's as soon as they reach season 2. By the time Oxygen is done with season 6, Nick@Nite will have finished season 3, and I would have seasons 2-6. Then I could just watch Oxygen all the way until they get back to season 4, and I will have all the seasons. RIght now, I just have 4 tapes with random episodes, due to the fact that on days I would stay home, I would tape them in the order they came on. Oxygen at noon and 12:30 (repeats of the previous days episodes in case i missed them) and then UPN44 at 3:30, and then Oxygen at 6:00 nad 6:30 and then Nick@Nite. So some of the episodes are in order, such as all three of Darlene and David's wedding and Dan's Heart attack episodes, and all 2 part episodes are together. |

And then I will capture my favorites onto VCDs (which are not quite DVDs but they do play in most [but not all] DVD players). Since I have a portable DVD player, I always try and put my favorites onto discs so I can watch them anywhere. Right now I have
Becky's Choice (episode 17, season 1), The Wedding/Heart & Soul/Fights and Stuff (end of season 8) Call Waiting (season 9 premiere [this one is a real DVD, not a VCD]) and I just finished Life and Stuff/We're in the Money (episodes 1 and 2) I'm going to try and finish Into That Good Night on VCD next time I get the chance. I'm willing to sell them for only $2 (no shipping fee), but realize that they aren't the best quality and make sure your DVD player will play them. contact me for more information thinktubular@aol.com |

I don't think that it is possible to fit an entire season onto one tape, unless you buy a very long tape and your VCR has an extreamly low recording speed. I put my VCR onto the slowest recording speed it has and use 6 hour tapes and am able to fit 10 whole episodes onto it. I could go up to 11 but then I'd have to be there to change out tapes between episodes and that's not going to happen. If I tried to get 12 in, I would be missing the end of the 12th episode on the tape, so I play it safe and put 10 episodes to each tape. I curretnly have 1-60 on tape (minus 39 and 40 because of that informercial day. I'll have to get those on Nick) and tomorrow the tape with episodes 61-70 will start. I change out the tape every Tuesday evening.
