Default The most touching scene on the show

1. In the episode where Roseanne think's she pregnant, both she and Dan are standing in the kitchen looking at DJ while he dumps his cereal all over the kitchen table and Dan turns to Roseanne and says "He's got your looks."

2. In the last episode where Roseanne explains her writing about her family, the set goes dark bhind her, and you hear the dialogue from the episode where the kids and Dan build her the writing room in the cellar and they say "We got you pencils and a dictionary for your birthday" and Roseanne is alone in the kitchen overhearing these voices.

What are your favorites?

1.The most touching seen in the show was definatley the final monologe in Into That Good Night (2). Where Roseanne explains that Dan really died in his heart attack last year and other stuff like that Jackie was really gay, Bev was not, how she tried to raise her kids to the best of her ability ect. I can never watch Into That Good Night (2) without crying at the final monologe.

2.In The Miracle where all the women are standing around taking turns holding Harris, knowing that Harris will probably die.

3. In Driver's Seat where Roseanne sits down at the kitchen table with DJ and tells him that she is sorry forhitting him and tells a little about her past where she was hit by her dad.

4. In the episode where Roseanne think's she pregnant, both she and Dan are standing in the kitchen looking at DJ while he dumps his cereal all over the kitchen table and Dan turns to Roseanne and says "He's got your looks." (Like you said)

5. In D-I-V-O-R-C-E where Roseanne explains to Dan that she is married to him because she really wants to be, and that if there are any hard obsticles in the future that they will work them out together.

1) In the final episode (Like you all said) where Roseanne looks at dan for a sec then he disappears saying "Dan died from his heart attack"

2) Also in the same episode when she says "Jackie was my rock" that was sweet (That episode just makes my cry)

3) When Darlene reads her poem in front of her mom at school was sweet and cute when i look back on it

4) And also in the episode "Miracle" when at the end of the episode they show Harris saying that she is fine with that song playing in the background was sweet too

I thought it was the monologue of "Into That Good Night" when you see the empty chair and the background goes dark and you hear John Goodman's voice in the background calling Roseanne's name. And the piano music playing really added to it.

Well, this is such a well written show, there are SEVERAL touching moments I can think of, many of which were already mentioned above. There are two more I can think of now, along with many others I'll remember later...

When Roseanne first gets the writing room for her birthday, there's a touching moment at the end of the ep. When Roseanne is telling D.J. that bedtime story (P.J. Parowack??) and he tells her it should be a book.

Also, remember that ep where Roseanne was trying to get Darlene and David back together by sending them to the movies? Well, that scene where Darlene goes into the kitchen and pours her heart out in front of David to get him back is a sweet moment that gets me every time.

*When Roseanne hugged Darlene after finding out she was pregnant.

*When Dan broke down after having to put his mom in a mental hospital.

*After Jackie breaks down because Fisher was beating her, Dan grabs his coat and heads over to his place.

*When Crystal goes to the construction sight where her husband died, she says goodbye.

*When Roseanne says goodbye to her father after his death, telling him she forgives him for all the violence he gave to her and Jackie as kids.

The episode where Fischer beats Jackie and all the stuff with Darlene walking in & telling Roseanne and Jackie crying and Dan going out the door. That whole part was really touching.

There was another one where Darlene finds out that David was kissing Molly. Roseanne goes into Darlene's room and comforts her while she's crying on the bed.

In the episode where Darlene writes a poem and has to recite it in front of the school. You remember: To Whom it may concern.

You just see that look on Roseanne's face and how it looks like she is going to cry.

One of my favorite scenes is in the episode where Jackie takes over Roseanne's role in the house. I remember Jackie saying that Dan probably doesn't remember when he first met her and Dan pretends that he doesn't remember. And towards the end of the episode Jackie is about to leave and Dan stops her and is able to tell her exactly what she had on, etc... when he first saw her. I always liked that scene.

I think that the best written episode is the one where Roseanne and Jackie visit their old house and go through their memories in the house. Not only was this one of the funniest episodes, but it also had a whole drama section to it. I think that Roseanne Arnold delivered her best performance during that episode, as well as Laurie Metcalf. The entire episode was exceptionally good.
