I never realized Clair Huxtable was so hated. I didn't mind her when the show was on but after reading all the posts yeah she was arrogant. Olivia from Cosby Show was pretty bad too. The brother on Frasier is pretty annoying too. Anyone can see he's passing himself off as a heterosexual. The whole cast of Friends is pretty irritating too.

Good points all around.
Im just confused about the "Frasier" comment.
What exactly does "passing himself off as...." mean??

But I have a quick question.... is this characters from shows we like??

The Frasier writers wanted to make him gay but were afraid of protests. If that show started up now he would be.

Ive heard complete different things.
That "Niles" was never intended to be gay, and that it was a huge part of the show (at least when it started) that both Frasier and Niles were sophisticated, with high standards, good taste, and style. But were straight, showing that having good taste doesnt = being gay.
They were the original "metrosexuals"

Im not homophobic.... but if Niles were gay, "Frasier" wouldn't be as good of a show as it is.
The show's 2 biggest jokes (Maris, and Niles' obsession with Daphne) would never have worked if Niles had been gay.

If its only shows we like then my votes are cut down to just Olivia and Clair after maybe about year 3 or so. She wasn't so bad at first, but was rather surly and had a superior air about her that grew as time went on. Really noticeable by about year 6.

Pam was tolerable but Max on Living Single was annoying.

Its a relatively new term.... but I cant think of anyone (in the public eye) who was a metrosexual before the characters of Frasier and Niles Crane.

Felix Unger would have been considered one. Also Charles Nelson Reilly. But Felix seemed straight, but eccentric. Niles on Frasier seems gay. i think the actor that plays him is gay so maybe that's why.

I dislike:
Sylvia Fine from The Nanny,
Scoochie from 3rd Rock, and
Briscoe Darling from Andy Griffith.
I've been hating Ray Barone off and on for the last season or two, and I absolutely can't stand Ernest T. Bass from Andy Griffith.
