"Final Four" Sitcom Game---The Final Four are set! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's time to announce the latest results in the "Final Four Sitcom Game" where, starting tonight, there will be only 4 sitcoms left standing---or sitting, if you prefer. After all, they are called SIT-coms!

Anyway, here's how the voting went this week, with my votes added on, in capitals as usual:

1970s: THREE'S COMPANY over All In The Family 24-6

1980s: Mama's Family over FAMILY TIES 17-13

1990s/2000s: The Wonder Years over HOME IMPROVEMENT 22-8

The 1950s/1960s race went right down to the wire and was decided in the following manner:

The popular vote saw I Love Lucy lead Bewitched 15-14. If you add my vote, then it becomes a tie since I vote for Bewitched. That means the contest will go to a tiebreaker. Since I get the deciding vote, once again my vote goes to Bewitched. I love Lucy as much as anyone. I think she's just wonderful. I just love Samantha a little better. So that makes the final score

1950s/1960s: BEWITCHED over I Love Lucy 16-15

So now the Final Four are set. According to the rules that I set last month, the pairings will work like this:

1950s/1960s winner vs 1990s/2000s winner

1970s winner vs 1980s winner

That means it's now down to this:

Bewitched vs The Wonder Years

Three's Company vs Mama's Family

Now it's time for your votes. As usual, the results will be announced next Friday. Enjoy!

I demand a recount. Seriously, I guess I can understand if it was already I Love Lucy leading Bewitched 15-14 then someone else picked Bewitched to tie it up, and then you'd get the deciding vote, but it seems kinda fishy that your vote counts as two to at the last minute automatically push Bewitched over the top. There should've been a runoff or something.

I disagree. I think the way SAL handled the so 'tie-breaker' between ILL and Bewitched was wrong. He should have not voted the first time because it would not end up as a tie. That wasn't that case, and he voted TWICE to allow "Bewitched" to win. IMO, I firmly believe that "I Love Lucy" won the popular vote amongst the majority. With that said, here are my votes:
