And that was the main reason we went! It was awesome -- if you ever go -- you'll love it. |

The neighborhood with the houses from The Wonder Years is somewhere in Culver City, California. That is one place I hope to go in the future. I read that late last year the Arnold house was repainted from its original green ... grr.
On my trip to "Arnold City" I would also like to visit the house from The Brady Bunch in North Hollywood which, unlike the Arnold house, has been kept like it was from 1969-74 for the most part. The only place I have actually visited is De Smet, South Dakota, the "Little Town on the Prairie" in which Laura Ingalls Wilder grew up. Then there's this. While driving through Mankato, Minnesota, I saw signs for Minnesota State University, as in the home of the Screaming Eagles coached by Hayden Fox! According to my maps Moorhead (across the Red River from Fargo, North Dakota) has a Minnesota State, as well. Oh, and I have also visited Port Washington, Wisconsin, the home of the Lamberts and Fosters in the ABC TGIF sitcom Step By Step. I didn't see their house, but I know the street number is 201. |

I visted Beverly Hills, california once; back in 1988 and saw the McKearny estate which was used for the Clampett mansion in "The Beverly Hillbillies". At the time, though, it was being renovated, but most of it (on the outside, anyway) was still recognizable.
I've since heard though; that it was torn down sometime in the 90s.

Granny: "OK ask her kin we buy one offa her." clerk: " The ruby I am talking about is not a lady." Granny: "Lissen, how she got them diamonds is her business. I'm just sayin' ask her kin we buy one from her." |
