I finally saw the last episode. It was really sad, and I cried. I was sad that Roseanne lost Dan, and that she was still poor. I liked what she had to say about life, and it made me think about life in a new way.

Not to make light of Dan's death but didn't they both say in an earlier episode ( the one where Dan gets hurt in the Pot-a-potty) that they had lots of insurance where Roseanne said she'd like to grieve in Tahitti? If they still had life insurance, I'm sure she'd be okay.
The reason I mention this is because the show has been very consistent in saying things such as the time where Leon finds Rodbells mayonnaise and mustard in Roseanne's refrigerator while he was there for a poker game. In a later episode, she has to take a lie detector test for stealing things from Rodbells. The only inconsistency I've seen in the show was where David was first introduced and he said his name was 'Kevin' but was changed to 'David' in later episodes. |

It makes me cry every time. I was watching it last night and I kept telling myself "I won't cry, I won't cry, I won't cry" but guess what, I cried. I had to stay up late (I usually go to sleep at midnight when Roseanne ends) and watch some Cosby to get a few laughs in before I went to sleep after crying from watching the Roseanne finale. It's so sad!!!

I just saw the last episode for the first time last night. The first thing that came to my mind is that "Everything isn't always what it seems". I was quite shocked that the whole year was only in her mind, and the folks who helped run the show did an excellent job of making Rosie's fantasy look very real. Having Dan die was quite sad, but knowing that her life was quite opposite from what it appeared was even more sad. Roseanne is one of my favorite shows because it simply focused on everyday folks and not some unrealistic approach to life. I also learned that Glenn Quinn (MarK) is deceased, that indeed is even more sad. I look forward to getting all 9 seasons of this show, it made laugh a lot, and the characters were cool. Ken

I DID NOT like the last episode....I hate the thought of dan dying....that just ruins the whole show for me...I cried like a baby when the camera switched to the empty chair...ooooooooohhh that was so sad....I will never watch that episode again! I like to think that Dan is alive and happy...and drinking his beer...NOT DEAD!
