Even though oftentimes the Grammys don't get it right, I'm still curious to see just how popular their choices are, so list the number or titles you own of the last 30 Grammy winners for album of the year.

Just bought Christopher Cross last year in bargain basement on cassette and listened to it once. Don't own anything else, but Richie, Saturday Night Fever, Quincy Jones and Thriller had so many singles on the radio (at least 5 form each one) it was like listening to the whole album anyway. Heard most of Songs in the Key of Life and Bonnie Raitt at the record shop so why buy them?

I might eventually check out the Outkast. While I don't own a copy of Faith or The Bodyguard, I have the Greatest Hits cd's of both artists which include basically every song off each I want |

One of the reasons I think Thriller, Saturday Night Fever, Rumours and Lionel's cd all sold so many copies is because there were so many hits on it, which gave the consumer more of a feeling that they will like the entire cd. The albums that generally still sell over the test of time are the ones that were loaded with familiar songs. |
