TV Land to air the pilot episode (with Jean Hagen) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

According to TV Land's website (http://www.tvland.com/tvmoguls/moguls_schedules.jhtml), they will be airing the series' very first episode, "Uncle Daddy", as part of the TV Land Mogul's block on April 21. This episode features Jean Hagen as Danny's first wife, Margaret, and is part of a group of episodes (the first four seasons) that were never syndicated, and haven't been seen nationally seen the 1960s.

Boy I hope that isn't a misprint. That would be great news.

You raise a good point -- we should take this with a grain of salt. I looked at the other episodes running that night, and TV Land got the episode titles slightly wrong for two of them: "Opie and the Bird Man", instead of "Opie the Bird Man"; and "Lucy Does a Commercial", instead of "Lucy Does a TV Commercial".

It's possible that someone told the website editor -- we're running the first episode of "Make Room for Daddy", meaning the first episode of the syndication package (the fourth season opener), but the editor slotted in the title of the first actual episode. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
