Default TV Land should honor these actors . . .

. . . Desi Arnaz, Lucille Ball, Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, and Mary Tyler Moore by dedicating their schedule to the following sitcoms: "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW", "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW", "I LOVE LUCY", "THE LUCY SHOW", AND "MARY TYLER MOORE". These actors were perhaps the some of the biggest, if not THE biggest influencial people in the TV field during the 50's through 70's time period.

THE 1950's:
"I Love Lucy" dominated the decade by winning millions upon millions of viewers each week. The enormous viewing made "I Love Lucy" the biggest show of the 50's.
Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz starred in this top-notch show which was produced by their company, Desilu. Desilu later on produced other tv hits such as "The Andy Griffith Show", "The Dick Van Dyke Show", "The Lucy Show", "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.", "I Spy", ect.

THE 1960's:
"The Andy Griffith Show" was the primarily top show of the 1960's followed closely by the then-popular "The Lucy Show". Monday night was THE night for all Americans to sit, relax, and enjoy these two tv hits that dominated the 1960's. While Andy Griffith and Lucille Ball dominated the hearts of the viewers, Dick Van Dyke and his sitcom proved equally successful with the TV critics by winning "the Best Situation Comedy of the year" award for five straight seasons at the emmy's. Besides winning that award several times, "The Dick Van Dyke Show" was one of television's first sitcoms to be centered around the workplace. Like Dick Van Dyke's sitcom, Lucille Ball's 60's sitcom was also one of television's "firsts" by featuring a woman working outside of the home.

THE 1970's:
Mary Tyler Moore broke ground with her sitcom, "Mary Tyler Moore", by protraying a single woman 'making it out on her own' in the male-dominated world. The show helped pave the way for the woman's movement during that era. "Mary Tyler Moore" was clearly one of the most influencial sitcoms of the 1970's.
Mary Tyler Moore's company, MTM productions, not only produced her show but also went on to produce other tv classics such as "Newhart", "WKRP In Cincinnatti", "Taxi", "The Bob Newhart Show", ect.

With all this said, TV Land should re-vamp their entire schedule and pay tribute to these influencial people and shows:

Desi Arnaz ("I Love Lucy")
Lucille Ball ("The Lucy Show", "I Love Lucy")
Dick Van Dyke ("The Dick Van Dyke Show")
Andy Griffith ("The Andy Griffith Show")
Don Knotts ("The Andy Griffith Show")
Mary Tyler Moore ("Mary Tyler Moore", "The Dick Van Dyke Show")

Without a doubt, these actors deserve this!

Nope.
Overkill.
They SHOULD air them....
but no network should be devoted to only a handful of shows.

And maybe you want to edit this.... but The Dick Van Dyke Show only won "best comedy" 4 out of its 5 seasons.
Frasier is the only show to top that. (but many others have met it)

Excellent point. I"d love if there was a channel that aired Mama's Family, The Carol Burnett Show and other stuff 24/7, but THAT would be overkill too, lol.
