It was where J.T went through a painful work out just to get a date with the arobics instructor just like Jack did except it was the girl's big brother who put Jack through the pain.Plus J.T-Jack Tripper?Weird huh?

Hmmmm. I never thought about it that way. I wonder if the writers had that in mind when they wrote the ep or if it was just a coincedence.

I'm not sure, but I do know Miller&Boyett tend to recycle scripts and ideas. A lot of the shows of Step By Step and Two of a Kind remind me a lot of the episodes that ran on The Hogan Family, formerly Valerie and later Valerie's Family. Some of the dialogue is almost exact. In fact the living room and kitchen layout on Step By Step looks exactly like that of the Hogans, except with different furniture. I find that hard to believe it's all a coincidence.
Kind of pathetic when you think of it. It smacks of laziness. I guess they figured the shows were aimed more at kids than the adults (although Valerie started out as both a kid and parent show, even though that changed with the wrongful firing of eponymous star Valerie Harper) and they could get away with being lazy... I love the show, but high art it ain't; now we know why ![]() Ed (who still thinks the show is fun) |
