Uh oh... forgot my taxes!!!

Ok, I did my tax returns over a month ago and already got the check.. but about 5 min. ago just remembered something. I never sent in the file thing I had to print out. It was some form. Anyways, I did my taxes online for free and managed to find the site where I did them, but I cant figure out how I can get that form again. *explodes*

Just relay it until next year. I missed my 1999 income taxes completely, and I just filed them in the 2000 income tax year. I wouldn't really worry about a small mistake.

I think they only go after people who intentially ignore filing their income taxes. They probably won't harass you. If I ignored filing my taxes for three straight years or more, I would face a jail sentence and all my property assets confiscated by the government.

I don't know much about the US income tax system, but in Canada you can have your tax agent file a "late reprieve" request. Meaning you are requesting your tax mistake be relayed to next year's income taxes. I don't believe you have anything to really worry about. The US income tax system works basically the same as Canada's.

But double check with you tax agent to be sure, and let them know that you have might've made a mistake on your 2003 income taxes.

Well, I e-filed them myself online. I already got my check, but in order for them to count as being filed or whatever, I had to mail in my 8453-OL form. Well, I completely forgot about it til today lol. I got nervous because I had no idea where to get it again, but thankfully I found it and printed it out. I dont know the exact reason for this form, but I did file my taxes and such so Im safe there.

Yeah, don't worry about any income tax mistakes- as long as you agknowledge them. You don't have to worry about being penalized, fined or go to jail for them any time soon.
