Default Maybe Bob Saget should stick to being clean-cut

I was searching around Google News, and found two recent reviews of Bob Saget's current stand-up comedy shows:

http://www.nypress.com/17/15/news&columns/beehner.cfm

http://www.cavalierdaily.com/CVArtic...19632&pid=1146

NOTE: These articles both contain some of his jokes, which may be offensive to some of you. Please read only if you don't mind reading material with a lot of sexual related humor.

His stand up act is great. And let's not forget he was a rauncy comedian before he became an ABC darling.

Yeah, I know he came from a stand up career where he did that kind of stuff. And he has every right to do that. But I think those reviews were objective, and they weren't giving poor remarks about his edgy attitude, but it seems they just didn't think his show was funny.

Yeah, I just read those reviews, and I concur. It sounds like he was being vulgar just for the shock value and to shed his Danny Tanner image. It also sounds like his new act stinks.

But I remember seeing him in the '90s, though, on his own stand up special on HBO. He also made an appearance on a few of the Comic Relief specials (also on HBO). He was vulgar on both, but also genuinely funny.

How was he, actually? I've been trying to search for some information on how he got started in the entertainment industry, but I haven't been able to dig up much more information than him doing raunchy comedy.

I really don't know much about him. He started out in the stand-up circuit in the late '70s, and started to get small roles in movies and guest appearances on TV shows, eventually getting the part of Danny Tanner on Full House.

Here is his filmography.

Yeah. I know what you mean. Even some of his jokes on "Raising Dad" were sort of adult-oriented.

From "Raising Dad" a short lived sitcom with Bob Saget of "Full House" fame.

I saw it occasionally from the 1986 video release of "Paramount's Comedy Theater: Well Developed".

That's terrible, On Full House he seemed the opposite of what he is now.
