Default For any TC fan who did not like Mr. Roper, please state your reason why.

I was a HUGE fan of Mr.Roper and i enjoyed his non-chalant insults toward Jack. So i'm just curious to know why someone would not like the character Stanley Roper. I just don't see how a TC fan could not like him.

its not that i dont like him but i think that sometimes he was just so mean to mrs. roper. and his insults and comments kinda got old after a while......well for me they did. but he was funny at times and on some occasion he was sweet to mrs. roper. like in janets promotion when he told helen not to change a thing, cause she was thinking of getting a face-lift.he said that he loved her just the way she was. that was sweet!! but sometimes he just got old with the jokes.

Why didn't Mr. Furley's gay jokes get old?

I like Mr. Roper a lot more than Mr. Furley. Mr. Furley was annoying some times with his crazy clothes & dry humor.

Mr. Roper's funniest gay joke was when Janet thought Jack slept with her sister and Jack told mR. Roper-"nothing happen but no one won't believe me"

And then Mr. Roper said-"i believe you, after all what could happen?-LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He did that because he wanted the audience to laugh with him when he made fun of his wife.

I liked it when Mr. Roper looked into the camera and laughed. He looks so goofy when he laughs

I don't think he said it to be sweet, it was a matter of money, you know how cheap Mr. Roper was!!!

As for the Ropers vs Furley debate, I liked them both!

I think because, it seemed like Jack didn't like Mr Roper.. his comments were more mean?

I presonally like him.. but I think it can rub some fans if they watch the show closely that way.

Mr Roper was awesome, but my favorite thing about him was how he would ham it up for the camera after one of his choicest insults directed at Mrs Roper. Here's one of my favorites:

Mrs Roper: "Stanley, if you were to come home and find me in bed with another man, what would you do to him?"

Mr. Roper: "Nothing."

Mrs. Roper: "Nothing! Why not?"

Mr. Roper: "Well I figure he's already suffered enough."

(camera mug)

classic.
