Was this a blooper? When JJ was "teaching" Michael how to defend himself, he was swinging so wildly, his hat flew off. Was that suppose to happen?
Otherwise, how did y'all like that episode? Me? I'll look at it like this: A bully threatens to kick Michael's azz, but he wants to study with him and help him pass. It was OK, but does a child that age really care about something like that? The funny part was when he said the "teacher makes fun of him". Granted, and I don't think this is funny, but when I was in Jr. high School, I had a Jamaican classmate and the teacher actually made fun of how he talked? I could see the classmates doing it, but the teacher?

This episode made me mad because of Florida approval to let a guy who was taking her son lunch money to lounge and relax all weekend. How stupid was that? Instead of Michael fighting he acts like a wimp and invites him over for the weekend. I know that had to make James real proud as a father-LOL |

How 'bout that? He shoulda just kept straight out the door, like James said. And who stopped him, Florida? Wasn't she sooooo worried about Michael at first? Ironing the same piece of clothing. Then she's proud that he invited Eddie to stay the weekend. The even more funny part about it is.... Eddie soon became a Satan Night
So I guess Michael's tutoring did no good. And they even game him a new name. I know the two gang members names were Sylvester and Tyrone (the two in the hall w/ JJ). I think Eddie was Sylvester in "the Gang" episode.

what does Florida know about being a man? NOTHING! That's what kills me about these type of women! They think it's easy to be a man! We have issues too! Sorry for the vent! But you tell a woman on how to be a real woman! She'll never shut up after that remark!

Michael not using violence to get revenge on people.
James would have massacred the bully, but Michael wanted to reason with him, to get him to see that there is a way out of a life of crime. Of course, James beating him with a belt helped as well. But that was only when the bully refused to listen to reason. It was a "when push comes to shove" moment. But Michael handled the sitch pretty well. That would make him the bigger man- not a wimp. |

Michael inviting a bully to spend the weekend at his apt to use his electricity and eat his food in addition to his lunch doesn't make him a wimp? Are you kiddin me? |
