I enjoyed Mr. Bradford's interactions with Jack. He would have been the perfect replacement for Stanley Roper. That was about the only thing that made Three's A Crowd funny.

Don Knotts played Mr.Furley well! I`m glad Mr.Furley was the landlord after the Ropers. He was so funny!

No I liked Mr. Furley better than Mr. Bradford. Besides Robert Mandan who played Mr. Bradford was on Soap at the time.

If Mr bradford had took over from Mr. Roper, would Vicki of had to replace Chrissy for the interactions between Mr. bradford and Jack to work.

While I like both Don Knotts and Robert Mandan, I'd have to stick with Furley. One thing I like about TC is that they didn't replace Roper with a carbon copy of him. It opened up new plot personalities.
I have to say though, I didn't really like Furley that much during season 4. He seemed meaner to the kids than in later seasons. I liked it when he became more wacky during season 5. |

I think a carbon copy would have worked better. The Stanley Roper type of personality worked good with the personality of Jack Tripper. Very good combination. It was less funny that Mr. Furley got along better with Jack. |

Furley was a perfect replacement for Mr. & Mrs. Roper. I liked Mr. Bradford for TAC but for TC during that time, Furley (Don) was perfect. The Furley character and Don had big shoes to fill, replacing 2 characters. Mr. B wouldn't have been a good replacement for that time. But like I said, I did like him for TAC.

I agree. The show just wouldn't be what it is today without Mr. Furley. He's one of my favorite characters.
