due to President Bush's news conference, however, there is a bit of good news in that you won't have to wait but one night:

Drudge UPDATE: BUSH BUMPS 'IDOL'

FOX will delay this week's AMERICAN IDOL competition by 24 hours, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, after the White House scheduled a formal Bush press conference during IDOL's Tuesday timeslot.

"We are going live for an hour on Wednesday, and the results from the show will be revealed during a special Thursday night hour too," a FOX source explained from Los Angeles.

I don't know. That's just when they scheduled it. It's not like they are discriminating against it or something.

It could be worse... earlier in the day FOX was considering cancelling both shows this week and waiting til next week!

Tru Calling will air Thursday at 9pm ET/PT Brian. Idol will air 8-9. 24 is being bumped to Sunday at 9pm ET/PT.
