Lightbulb Let's boycott Easter sales next year

On my way back from my sister's house to my aunt's house I noticed our Books-A-Million was open, also a grocery store alot of restraunts, Wal-Mart and lots of other things. I felt kind of bad because I was enjoying dinner and Easter with my family and those poor employees were having to work. Next year Let's all not eat out on Easter, buy our candy days before Easter, so maybe everybody can have a Easter off.
Exception for the Hospitals and police stations.

There are lots of people that have to work on holidays. Where I got laid off from is open all year round because it's a pharmacy. In one department you have to work major holidays including Xmas.

I work in a restaurant and had to work on easter, you'd be surprised how many people don't want to cook on easter, or are just too darn lazy to cook

The store I work at closes on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It disgusts me to see other stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and places like that open on holidays. Don't customers realize that employees might like to spend the holiday with their families instead of catering to them?

I went out to a restaurant on Easter and had to wait for over a half hour just to get a table. And I had reservations.

I had to work at a hot, unairconditioned concessions counter at a movie theater on the Fourth of July. It was miserable.

But what are you going to do? Boycott films from opening on July 4, Christmas, Easter, etc? Won't happen, unfortunately

NO they don't realize LOL! At least where I work they close on Christmas and THanksgiving, but not Easter We weren't that busy on Easter, but it makes you wonder why people don't want to spend the day with their families with a nice hot meal that they fixed

The grocery store I work at was open on Easter, but the only people who worked were the ones who signed up for it.

Hmmm...I went to Perkins on Easter Sunday...Wasn't too busy. However, the stores in the Mall of America were closed...The restaurants and Camp Snoopy in there were open all day, though. Then I went back to the Mall of America again on Monday and everything was open.

I don't know if any of the stores were open or not. I know the stores down town were close and some of the restaurants in town didn't open until 4pm.
