Chip's hair was about 4 or 5 different shades on this show including blond, bright red and dark brown. I'm assuming that he has mousy brown hair naturally as it appeared in the barbara seasons. Robbie's hair was a few different shades too. As for Charlie he had bright orange hair which was very picturesque.

Chip's hair was blonde when he was little and got darker as he got older. The same thing happened to my hair when I was that age.
Uncle Charlie's hair was probably really gray and he used a little Grecian Formula. When older men do this it always makes their hair turn a funny color. Just look at Ronald Reagan. |

i thought his hair was dyed blond in years 1-3 and then they colored it as he got older to match robbie's. charlie's hair was carrot colored. now that i think of it everybody had very colorful hair on this show. the wives were all without exception bright platinum blondes. ernie's hair looked dyed black as well.
