Default AI- 4/13 Theme is....

(if this was already posted.. oops.. ill delete it)

Songs from the movies! Like the final 11 did last year. So expect songs like "A Whole New World", "Somewhere Out There", etc. I hope it's gonna be good

I want Jasmine to sing "Reflection" from Mulan... and someone on idf mentioned something about JPL singing "I Dont Wanna Miss A Thing" from Armageddon.. That would work. He could also sing that "Iris" song from City of Angels, by the goo goo dolls.

I read about that. Quentin Tarantino is going to be a guest judge. I hope it will be better than Elton John night.

Yeah those seem great..especially Reflection for Jasmine. I think she'd sing that perfectly. And I can see LaToya or Jennifer singing I Will Always Love You...but well that seems like it's been performed too much on AI.

Sounds awesome!

Those would be good songs for JPL to sing, but I can also picture him singing "Maniac" by Micheal Sembello from Flashdance and doing his crazy dancing etc

Actually, I Will Always Love You hasn't been "cleared" to sing on AI, so nobody can sing it. Trenyce, Jasmine, and LaToya (i think) sang "I Will Always Love You" for their audition, and since it couldnt be cleared, they couldnt show it.

Ahh one of them has to sing 'Lady Marmalade'!!!

I wonder if any of them will sing anything from 'Chicago', although I was expecting songs from that movie for Big Band night. Oh well.

I TOTALLY agree with Reflection for Jasmine. TOTALLY.

Diana needs to sing "All That Jazz". And someone needs to sing "Lady Marmalade".

Of course, I have to tape this episode and watch it later, cos I'm going to be at Greg's watching movies. Meh.

From The Drudge Report:

FOX DEBATES: 'AMERICAN IDOL' OVER BUSH PRESS CONFERENCE

The White House scheduling of President Bush's formal press conference tomorrow night at 8:30 PM ET has thrown FOX-TV and its top-rated AMERICAN IDOL into chaos, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

FOX executives on Monday afternoon wrestled over whether to postpone this week's lucrative live IDOL showdown for the White House.

The Bush 8:30 PM press conference is set to run approximately 45 minutes, leaving a non-interrupted IDOL hour a scheduling impossibility during FOX's 8 to 10 PM primetime block.

IDOL commands the largest audience in television, with viewership levels passing 23 million in recent weeks.

One top executive argued Monday afternoon that the show should go forward -- with an on-screen disclaimer directing viewers to FOX NEWS channel for Bush coverage.

No final decision has made as this transmits.

Developing...

Jennifer Hudson maybe? Or Fantasia. I couldn't picture Diana or LaToya singing that.

Jasmine singing reflection?
She'd be really good at singing that song!

They have postponed it by one night. Tuesday's 1-hour show will now air WEDNESDAY, Wednesday's results show will air THURSDAY against Survivor.

Pardon me, Brent? Can you explain it to me again. You mean they will sing on Wednesday instead of Tuesday and the results are on Thursday?
