Sad Ending in 2005

According to Variety magazine, Will & Grace though being the fill-in to Friends, the whole cast are not expected to come back after it's 7th and apparently final season in May 2005. The show which has been a big success to Friends have been the 2nd highest rated program NBC has on the air. Will & Grace has been nominated for 12 emmys in the 2001-02 season and has been nomiated a total of 17 SAG awards from 2000-2004.

NBC only picked up W&G and the whole casts contracts expire after the 2004-05 season. It's a done deal!

In addition Megan Mullally's charecter Karen Walker is thinking about a spinoff to W&G for 2005-06 season but none has been determined yet.

The show it'self has drawn about $125 million per episode since the show has debuted in Sept 1998. Ironically That '70s Show debuted about 1 month before W&G did!

Will & Grace will join other shows that are ending after next season in which are Everybody Loves Raymond, NYPD Blue, Will & Grace's sister show, That '70s Show, King of the Hill and Simpsons.

So Will & Grace will only have one more season after this but I think the show now has ran it's course.

Sorry if all of you Will & Grace fans are dissapoiunted but some of the attribtues to the show ending after next season is that the writing crew of W&G has decided to either leave the show or they have run out of great storylines for the show.

Though storylines have had good with Grace and Leo, The whole other stories has not been all that funny. Yeah IMO, There has been some good strong episodes this season, but the jokes aren't as laugh as loud funny as the early episodes. Will & Grace has gone through it's course. So Debra, It;s great that you gave birth to your baby boy congratulations! Unfortunately, this show will pack up after next season That's final!! So adieu '70s Show and W&G!

You have to be kidding me! Wow, I can't believe this.

The show has been such a hit and still brings in great ratings, I just assumed it would be on for at least another 3-4 years. Unbelievable.

I know some episodes this season have been slipping in overall "ha, ha funnyness" but I still thought the show was safe for a while.

Man, this sucks!

You see, one of the attributes of W&G ending next season is that some of the writing cast members are going to leave next season because of the big impact of Friends leaving and thus leaving Will & Grace on life support. Friends & Will & Grace is similar to J! and WoF in game show lingo, if WoF goes away J! has to go too.

Take for example That '70s Show. The whole cast says that since their contract's end next season, Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace proclaim and implied that next season would be their last. But if '70s continues into 2006, then the whole casts would have to ask for more salary Money for FOX and Carsey-Warner-Mandabach ('70s Parent distributor) So that means that The whole cast would be on the air until at least 2006. So the whole cast would really change their minds about making next season the last. But since Will & grace will be exiting like '70s Show, this means that our popular shows of the late '90s will be gone into history.

Another BIG thing is that Megan Mullally is considering a spinoff charecter for 2005-06 season so meaning that without Karen, the show would be lost so that is the main reason why Will & Grace is ending in 2005! Besides when her show spins-off Karen would most likely replace W&G when it ends.

In addition Here is what Debra Messing implied when Joan Rivers Interviewed her at the Golden Globes:

Quote:
at the golden globes, joan rivers interviewed debra and she said that next season is officially their last year.
So it's now official Will & Grace (1998-2005)

So the list of shows that are ending next season are.

Everybody loves Raymond
That '70s Show
Will & Grace
NYPD Blue
Simpsons
King of the Hill
Andromeda

What may be left will be
King of Queens
The Bernie Mac Show
Malcom in the Middle
2 and 1/2 men
8 Simple Rules
My Wife and Kids
According to Jim
the list can go on and on but the main thing is that now, Will & Grace will only have one more year to go before they blow their series finale next year. Lets hope that it is a big hit since it won't last long

It's a shame that Will & Grace is ending but it's one of the greatest shows right next to both That '70s Show and King of the Hill. So Goodbye Will & Grace!

If you go to Kingof the Hill's thread and there it is To stay until at least through May 2004 on FOX. There will be your'e explaination. Also if you check out TVTome.comand you see The Simpsons site, you will see that it will be through 2004-05 season only. But then again, I may be wrong.

The Simpsons is no longer smart. A good episode every now and then, but the storylines & episodes are no longer consistent and the majority of jokes/gags aren't funny.

I think there are more then those reasons Will and Grace will end next year if this is true.

One as you say is the writers are leaving after this season. Other reasons are probably because the creators of the show no longer have any control of the show. Another factor would be the declining ratings. this season it averages about 15.5 million viewers.

Correction, W&G Fanatic. The writers contracts end after the 2004-05 season so this means that they will only have one more year to go. In fact when you go to TVtome.com's site and look under W&G, the show says that NBC picked up the series through 2004-05 season only!

One major reason is that Karen is in the works of a Spinoff of her charecter for the 2005-06 season. this would mean that Jack & Karen would be on the show as main supporting characters rather than secondary with W&G. The fact is that the storylines are flat for W&G now a days since the new episodes aren't as laugh out loud funny as the old episodes are.

Take That '70s Show for example. The whole cast and crew want to call it quits after next season since they draw more of the younger viewer crowds like Will & Grace. While '70s My #1 show next to W&G is up year-to-year on both FOX and the repeats in Syndication (In my area, That '70s Show and Will & Grace air as part of the funny block on UPN.)

Now since each charecter as played their roles for 6-7 years. Don't you think it is time to move on for Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderamma and the whole gang at '70s or to a certain degree, the whole cast of W&G to move on? The casts of both shows are starting to show signs of wear & tear unfortunately and that is why That '70s Show & Will & Grace are both ending next season. So now like it or not, it's going to happen. Goodbye '70s & W&G (1998-2005)

First of all, it doesn't say only. And this is also posted at TV Tome:

Currently the show is set to have Season 7, and work has already begun on the scripts. What is still unknown is whether this will be the last season. According to Variety, talks will being in June to discuss whether the show will be renewed or if this will be the last season. It is pretty safe to say that NBC will want to renew the show until at least a 10th season. However, due to recent problems with Kohan & Mutchnick, its still unknown who will be representing the show durring the talks with both NBC and Warner Bros. Cross your fingers!

Well, it's going to go out like I said like That '70s Show. It's not going to happen. It's too late! The cast will only go though this season and besides don't they need to take a break and move on like Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace? The trouble is that W&G is not going to last that much longer. If it were, '70s Would move to NBC and join W&G on Thursdays. So needless to say, this season will be it's last on NBC so as Red Forman would say "Good BYE DumbA**!"

What's too late? You really make no sense about this sometimes. You seem to be making this up as you go along. If it was already official that it was ending after next season (I'm not saying it's not), then there would be a bunch of sources about this. You act as if you are a spokesperson for the show or something.

One thing, You are such a DUMBA**!

I'm just kind of bitter about the fac That '70s will be leaving next season because they just want to move on. But you never know if the whole cast of '70s will come back? I think it is safe to say That '70s Show will be coming back for what is most likely it's final year. So Will & Grace may just have to call it quits next season.

Yes, may is the key word there. There's a possibility it might end after next season, but then again it might not. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
