Default What kind of music do you prefer?

I've only been here for a short time but I can see that there are many different age groups on these boards. I was just cuious to find out what kind of music you like to listen to on a regular basis.

Give some examples please

I like classic rock and music from the 50s-80s. Music from 1996-1998 is also a favorite of mine.

Wow! Lots of country fans here! Thanks for participating so far

I must say that my favorite type of music is classic rock. I love Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Beatles, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Zebra, Yes, Rush, King Crimson and the like.

I'm also into 80s & early 90s alternative (when it was still alternative) Bands like Jane's Addiction, Ministry (could be Industial I guess) Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Pixies, Primus, REM, LARD, Palehead, The Nails, ect.

Well actually, for me, it's mostly country, but I like other stuff too. I'm a big Evanescence fan and I love, love, love Clay Aiken. I also like some older stuff like Elton John and Billy Joel. (I'm 13, so those are oldies for me. )

I didn't vote in the poll, because I can't really decided, but I'm really into rock (especially classic rock) and blues. Soul, too. Actually I'll listen to any type of music except country. I can't STAND country music. But mostly Rock/blues/soul

I know...she's awesome. I think Amy's voice is what makes me like Evanescence but hate other bands with that style.

I guess the term that best describes what I listen to most is urban alternative, which is basically self-contained soul acts who write and produce their own stuff and play instruments.
Prince, Terence Trent D'arby, MeShell Ndegeocello, Lenny Kravitz, India.Arie, Musiq, Res, Anthony Hamilton, N.E.R.D., Outkast etc. are examples of what I listen to most. I grew up on soul, then disco, then top 40, then rap, then house, then whatever. Right now, after urban alternative, I like the Linkin Park, Staind, Incubus, Puddle of Mudd type of rock.
