The Becky and Mark relationship - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Was anybody else puzzled by their relationship? I always thought they loved each other very much and were crazy about each another but you never saw them talking or having a halfway decent conversation like even Darlene and David did. Maybe it was a purely physical thing! LOL

I always thought Becky 2 and Mark had a decent relationship because they never seemed to fight with each other except for the one time in season 6 when Mark gave up on going to college. But Lecy's Becky and Mark were weird because one minute they were broken up the next they were together again. Even when Lecy came back Becky was thinking of leaving Mark in that one episode (Becky Howser MD).

I know what you mean LecyGoransonFan. And remember when Lecy's Becky was hootering and hollering at the cute guys across the street from the diner? It seemed like Mark was crazier about Becky than she was about him, especially the first/real Becky. But even Mark admitted that he and Becky never talked, so I guess there was that one thing that kept them together. LOL

Doesn't Mark say to David in the 7th season they have nothing to talk about. Then David asks what they used to tallk about and Mark replies with a weird answer?

Yeah, Becky always said that they have nothing in common and nothing to talk about, i think that always bothered Becky deep down. Darlene and Davids relationship was the complete opposite but behind it all very simular because they had their faults just like Beckys and Marks relationship.

I didn't like Mark and Becky together, either. Mark didn't seem like the type of guy that someone like Becky would fall for so hard. I think in "Becky Howser, MD", Becky was starting to see that she's made a mistake marrying him and that she needed to leave him. Mark was a good guy, but he couldn't give her what she needed. And I wasn't even much of a Becky fan, even though I saw this.

Many young marriages break up like this. David Darlene were different, but they were far more mature and ready for marriage than Mark and Becky were.
