Angry Mad as a hornet

I bought some brand new blank tapes. Last night I very carefully set my VCR clock & set it to tape on channel 3 from 3:00am to 4:00am. Then I very carefully set my cable box to switch over to channel 31 (Nick) at 3:00am and stay there for one hour.

So, WHY, this morning, do I wake to find I have taped part of something with John Travolta, part of Buffy the $#!@ Vampire Slayer, and the beginning of some Charles Bronson movie?!? Huh??? WHY?!?

I even looked in the tv listings and don't even SEE that $#!@ Buffy came on last night. I can't figure out what I did wrong.

I'm mad as a hornet because I was finally going to get "Legacy" on tape, and maybe even tape every night and finally get some eps in order.

Arrrgh!!

Love,

Wing<><

That sucks. I hate when things like that happen. Does your VCR clock need to be reset to Daylight Savings Time or something? I have to manually change mine.

Hey Kristen,

Well, I set the clock on the VCR just to make sure that it was right. But, I didn't see a place to change the clock on the cable box... so I assumed that the cable box gets its time setting from some master cable company clock, but I could be wrong about that. I'll check it again when I get home.

It would help me to know when what I did tape aired, (like if the Buffy, etc. was on from 2-3am) but I can't find the listings... so I have no idea what channel I taped or what time.

Anyway, thanks for consoling me!!

Love,

Wing<><

I was lucky (or spoiled) because I use TIVO and it will automatically adjust to record the show even if the time period changes. I did notice however, on the night that daylight savings time was kicking over that Wings ran from 11:00pm to Midnight Pacific Coast Time, which was odd because it usually runs from Midnight to 1:00AM.

Last night I reset everything, and it looks like Wings taped. I left the hour-long mess-up on the the tape. I figure if "Legacy" comes on again, I'll remember to put it where it's supposed to go...

Love,
