The host on tvland.com message board confirmed that The Addams Family is the new show coming in June. It will begin with a 48 hour marathon.

I went to TV Land online and read the same thing! This is great!!!
I'm so happy The Addams Family is making a return to TV Land. Lately, it seems a lot former TV Land shows have been coming back (i.e. Sanford and Son, I Dream of Jeannie, Mister Ed, All In The Family, Green Acres, The Flip Wilson Show, ect.. Hopefully, TV Land will air "The Addams Family" along side with "The Munsters" which would give us a full hour of nothing but spookiness!!!

Im dissappointed.
Id much rather watch "The Munsters" than "The Addams Family" In the words of Norm Peterson (talking about these two shows): Who needs your kind anyways?! |

The Addams Family may not be everybodys top pick for a new show, but i'm looking at it this way.......At least they arent adding more Cosby or some other over-played "modern classic". This shows me that at least they are intersted in adding more older classics.

I agree with boechsner. The Addams Family was one of the most sophisticated and funny satires ever made. The Acting , writing, music, and set are top notch. Carolyn Jones was nominated for an Acadamy Award before the show, as was John Astin after. Jackie Coogan worked with Charlie Chaplin, I mean come on, how many TV stars do you know that have credentials like that? If you really pay attention to the episodes, you will see that it is not just a silly sitcom.
Maybe you just have to be more intelligent to appreciate it. |

Personally, I'd rather see The Addams Family than more bland 80s pablum like Cosby. |
