News: Mork and Mindy movie - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Today on tv it said that Robin Williams recently mentioned how he'd like to bring Mork and Mindy to the big screen. Not only that, he said he thinks Kim Cattrall would be an excellent Mindy.

AND- Callista Flockhart recently said she likes the idea of seeing Ally McBeal up on the big screen. I liked the first few seasons of Ally McBeal myself- then it went down (around the time Georgia's husband died- or just before it)- so, if Callista wants Ally on the big screen- by the dvd boxset and a digital projector!

I wonder if Robin Williams was joking about Mork and Mindy. Everyone is doing remakes of tv shows now- but usually the people behind the original have little to do with it.

I posted my full opinion the the possible Mork & Mindy remake in the other thread. Basically all I have to say is that there are shows that can be remade as a movie and not be remade. I would classify M&M as one of those shows that cannot be remade. I mean they can but the quality would surely be light years lower than the original series.
