Hi everyone!
![]() Well, I looked for the old topic about this and couldn't find it, so here we go. A few weeks back, I was watching Sanford and Son and a background object caught my eye. Usually, scenery is just scenery, but this particular item was different, so I'm posting it here for all of you to see now. I apologize that the pictures are not the best, but I tried. Is this Chico's guitar in the background of Sanford and Son? |

It sure looks the same to me, but i wonder if it was a guitar prop used for both shows or if the one that chico is playing is really freddie's as he did have a guitar.
but it looks alot like they are one and the same, the more i think about it the more i think it is a prop for both because would Freddie really leave his own guitar on the set? I know i'm babbling sorry

I can't tell for sure either, but one of the episodes of Sanford and Son that I saw and I'm sure some of you have too, the one where they r making a similar show of Sanford. I forgot what it was called but, Fred and Lamont r in the audience watching and I think it may have mexican characters or latino, anyway,I thought I saw the van waaaay over to the left of the stage because they showed the audience so you could kinda look around the stage. So I may or may not have saw it. LOL! I know I'm kinda rambling about it.

After studying the pics.. I think it is the same guitar. Freddie knew his bar chords...he was so talented. Would have loved to hear him play a more expensive guitar that was in tune...LOL.

It might be, since the two shows were filmed at the same studio and stage at NBC...

I watched that Sanford and Son episode this morning and I didn't notice a Van to the far left of the stage. |
