Default Felix's clothes

Hi everyone I'm new:

This show is really fun. Good to see it in reruns again. One thing, Felix's clothes were often very wildly coordinated. Comparing his looks to other things I have seen from the early 70s he had an odd fashion sense. He would wear plaid suits with striped shirts and floral or polka dotted ties all in the same ensemble and it was never commented on. It made the character all the more hilarious to watch.

Randall was born to play that role.

I always liked the lining in all of Felix's sport coats and jackets. He really had some funky colors and patterns.

Everyone dressed like that in the 70's.

Wow. His combinations were really far out though. I've seen a lot of TV from the early 70s and his Felix's suit ensembles are really loud and discordant. I thought it was some comment about his character being eccentric. He was always spiffy though.

In my opinion the character of Felix Unger has to be one of the best in TV sitcom history along with Fred Sanford, Archie Bunker, and "Hawkeye" Pierce.

Randall and Klugman really made those roles. They played so well off of each other. When I watched the movie I kept comparing Jack Lemmon to Randall. Randall had SO much energy for that role. His body language was hilarious. I recently saw the one where he is afraid to get on the airplane. He was a scream in that one from start to finish.

Jack Lemon might have introduced the character, but Randall perfected it.

Randall was great. I read that he and Klugman would initially look at the scripts, call them garbage and refuse to do them, and then they'd help the writers make them funnier.

They both are amazing.
I love both actors, and their styles are unforgettable.
The way Oscar acts and gestures, especially when frustrated..or the way Felix gets neurotic attacks.
And people think..Ugh..."Freinds" is funny??

I'm not into Friends either, but a lot of people relate to it I guess.
