Post share your knowledge of the contrivercial episodes

If anybody has any info on those episodes, please share. Especially: Fear strikes back, Dope, The first time, A little help from my friends, The source. Hopefully we can get some pretty good summeries of the show here.

My summaries:

- Fear Strikes Back
While all the students are getting ready
for a dance, the girls find out that a
woman is attacked and raped. Natalie is
dressed as Charlie Chaplin. While walking
home after the dance, Natalie is attacked. Towards the end of the show,
the girls learn "self defense".

- Dope
Blair gets Sue Anne into "the group". Little to Sue Anne's surprise, "the group" smokes pot. Tootie and Natalie
buys a bomb, not knowing what it really
does. Mr. Bradley finds out and a few
girls are expelled.

- The First Time
It's Natalie and Snakes 1 year anniversary. That night they have sex
for the very first time. The next day,
Natalie tells everyone, except for the
kids in the house. Snake needs sometime
alone to think things through. They make
up at the end. Note: this is the only
episode that Blair is not in.

- A Little Help From My Friends
Blair and her boyfriend are waiting at
Edna's Edibles all day. Little does Blair
know the real reason why they are waiting. Jo tells Blair a few things
about her boyfriend's friend, Steve. Blair finds out that her boyfriend is into cocaine.

- The Source
Natalie wants to write an article on "abortion". No one will give her any
straight answers. Natalie decides make
up an article, to her surprise, there is
a girl at Eastland who had an abortion.
Mr. Parker gives Natalie an ultimatum, either Natalie reveals the girl or she
is expelled.

Those are all good summaries. I just saw one correction though. Tootie and Natalie buy a BONG not a BOMB.

Talking

I saw Fear strikes Back, the First Time, and Dope out of all those that u listed. My favorite out of those three would probably be Dope, then Fear Strikes Back, then The first Time.

well i've seen all of the contraversial eps... any questions ask away... but for Fear Strikes Back... they were not going to a "dance" it was a costume party with bates i believe... and yes... the headmaster's secretary was raped... we learn that in the beginign of the episode.... another episode that i was surprised that was not mentioned was Front Page... the reason i am surprised is becuase it IS centered around jo.. and as most of us know for some "odd" reason she is the center of this board (i do not agree) ANYHOO!!! i will tell you about it....

Front Page- Jo is killing herself in a journalism class tryign to get her teacher to notice her work and stop critisizing her... but he yet again brings her down and embarrasses her infront of the whole class... Roy (who we all know has a HUGE crush on jo) comes in tryign to bribe jo into a date for some juicy gossip abotu the teacher (his name slips my memory at the moment) and jo squeezes the gossip out of him... the teacher was caught in a raid at a cocain party... and was arrested (oh it's mr. giddean... i'm unsure abou the spelling) jo decides to run a story on him about it.... to everyone's shock and dismay... everyone is talkgina btou it and gossiping about it after it hits papers... natalie (who is head editor) had before hand talked to mrs. garrett about whether or not to run the story... natalie spills abotu mr. giddean's cocain involvment... later jo finds out that he was arrested but there was no evidence of his use in cocain... of course jo feels bad and mr. giddean "leaves" school....

another episode that is quite interesting is I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can...

Jo and Blair decide to take mrs. garrett out for her birthday to Wedgewoods (sp??) which is a male strip club (which might i add have GREAT male strippers!! ... too bad you dont' see as much as them dancing around in a speedo! ) ANYWAYS... nat and tootie gave mrs. garrett an apron that had her face on it.. (it was relaly cute!) and cliff gave mrs. g a card and a rose... but when the girls are at the club with mrs. g... jo is frequently taking pictures with her camera.. blair is smiling and awing at the men and mrs. g... well is being her usual bounch and wity self and is going BRAZERK!! she is yelling... handing out money for them... screaming her head off for them.. then all of a sudden Dr. Love comes out and blair notices it's cliff.. she imediately runs out.. afterwards nat and tootie come RUNNING down the stairs as SOOn as they get home... and mrs. g (had too many dirnks it seems) and the girls are all shocked abotu cliff's nude performance... so then it's revealed to nat and tootie that cliff was one of the strippers... later cliff comes in and blair acts like she wants to break it off with him... afterwards blair, jo, and mrs. g kinda chat abotu the whole thing... jo is pretty MAD about it all and is nagging blair to just dump him but blair says she can't do that and jo just basically screams to lock the door and turn off the light but mrs. g reminds jo abotu how when you love somebody you can't do that.. cliff comes back and basically says can we talk and blair puts her hands in his and that's the end (kinda stupid)

if you need anymore FULl explanations just ask i'm always here!!

Toodles! ;wave:

------------------
Blair: (reading from a book) Her face flushed hottly. At that moment, he kissed her (laughs)
Nat: Great Blair! You've gone from food to sex and I can't have either!

I liked the ep "I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can". It's one of my favorite eps. But my favorite controversial ep is "Dope". What was everyone's favorite controversial ep if you've seen them?

Sarah Lynn, you're a treasure chest full of wonderful FOL info. Have you seen "The Source"? If so, could you please tell more about it? Same with "The 1st Time"?

Thanks.

My favorite controversial episode is either:
- Breaking Point
or
- Dope
It's hard to choose just one. They're all
great episodes.

I don't know if it's controversial or not, but I remember seeing an episode years ago about Tootie being at a restaurant where she runs into this teenage girl who's a hooker. The hooker is with her pimp and wants Tootie to join with her.

The episode that you are thinking of is
called "Runaway".
