wanted to walk out because he felt he deserved more money.
Here is my quesion, WAS THE WALTER CHARACTER THAT IMPORTANT TO SHOW? I mean could the show have still gone on without him? |

I liked a lot of the characters on the show but they were all replaceable except Bea Arthur.

I think Walter was the second most important character on the show, but he was still replaceable.
I liked Mrs. Nugatuck. She was great, IMO. |

I liked the Bill Macy character, especially when he would get upset, but I think he WAS replaceable. Did anyone catch any episodes with the last maid, I never saw any of them. How was she as a character?

Ms. Naughgutuck was okay, but she was NO Florida. Florida and Maude seemed to have a special relationship and played off each other well. IMO

Doesn't surprise me. I remember seeing him on THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW, and he came across as REALLLLLLY egotistical.
He did nothing but toot his own horn the entire time he was seated next to Merv. It was so very offensive that it stayed with me all these years. |
