Default Bea Arthur

I just finished watching episodes 72 & 73 and thought Bea Arthur had a role in these episodes. Does anyone know what episode she makes her appearance?

I don't remember Bea Arthur ever being on Soap. It's not listed among her credits on imdb. You should check tvtome, if she was ever on, the info should be there.

I know that she is mentioned as being a character on the Jessica's Wonderful Life VHS tape. I have never seen that tape and thought it was just a clip show of SOAP episodes.

Bea Arthur appeared as God in a couple of episodes. I can't remember the specific storyline, but I did see the original airings many years ago.

I still don't remember seeing that. Do you remember what season she was on? Maybe it had something to do with

**SPOILER ALERT**

I bought the entire Columbia House series on eBay and only have about 12 or so episodes left in the series. I have yet to see Bea Arthur on any of the episodes. I have been looking for her, so I would remember it if I did.

Bea Arthur appeard as an angel in an episode that aired the week before the 4th season premiere. It was a 90-minute clip show with her and Katherine Helmond as they recounted the previous season. At the end of the 3rd season, Jessica had "died" and in this episode she was in heaven with Angel Bea. Jessica was telling her how she wanted to live and how much her family needed her, hence the clips from the previous season. In the 4th season premiere, Jessica was revived. I would hope they include this clip show in a future DVD release, but it seems to be left out when the series airs in syndication.

O.K., that must be the VHS that was released a few years ago called "Jessica's Wonderful Life". It was also left out of the Columbia House set unless it is on the last tape or something.

I saw that episode on cable about 3 years ago. Don't remember what channel though.

Soap did these "best-ofs" to refresh viewers' memories of the previous season and perhaps to bring new viewers up to speed on what happened previously. They really weren't episodes of the show per se, which is perhaps why they're not being included in the box sets. After all, if you own the box set, you have all the clips and you don't need to be reminded of what happened.

Maybe sometime they'll issue them as stand-alone DVDs for collectors. Or include the newly-filmed segments from these "best-ofs" as bonus clips.

Default I Got That On eBay...

the Wonderful Life, as well as Who Shot Peter?

Bea was her usual great comedic self in that special episode- it would be nice if it were included on a future DVD as a bonus feature- look at how good some of these other DVD releass are (whether movies or shows) in having bonus features. Some of these studios need to get with the program already.

it really doesnt make sense that they put the pilot episode on the second season set as a bonus instead of Who killed Peter - i mean it was basically a retrospective look at the first season !

it would also make much more sense to use Jessica's Wonderful Life as a bonus on the third set to tie in to the 2nd season
