Have y'all notice how they were some nice guys who did things the normal teen wouldn't have.
Why were so concerned about reuniting Spike Gibbs' daughter with her father? Everyone goes out of their way to find Shirley a date for the party, in which Dwayne ended up doing. Granted, I used to do things such as go to the store for and walk my neighbor's dog, but they were involving themselves in people's personal lives. Raj spending his own money at an escort service for Shirley, Rerun asking his shady brother to go out with her, and Dwayne dumping a girl, for SHIRLEY??? How nice could you get??? |

It is pretty much taking things to the extreme with doing something nice for your friends, but it is a sitcom and in the '70s.
Some things they did border on Brady Bunch territory, but the jokes and the insults still put the show on another level. |

I agree that it was a little offbase that they were so nice, but like dlemond said, the insults balanced things out.
