Default Do you think the 4th season of Sanford and Son on DVD is a Waste of Money since the

SEASON is INCOMPLETE? Since The Over The Hill Gag Episode was not included we can defintely label this as a incomplete release. I thought about and I'm not buying the DVD.

I got my money's worth and then some. I will bet the farm that the over the hill gag episode will be on the season 5 DVD. I have to be honest, before I got the DVD, Sanford and Son was at the bottom of my top 25 sitcoms list. That was most likely due to seeing episodes on N@N where they butchered the show. All of the episodes are unedited(unlike one ep on the season 3 DVD). Plus I get to see the Grady pilot. Not to mention the Suprise Party episode.

Well i found out that it was a mistake on the episode guide at tvtome.com I thought the Over the Hill Gag episode was a produced in season 4 but it was season 5.

Default Well, I've already gotten my money's worth . . .

. . . and then some!!!! I noticed that some of the earlier episodes of season four I hadn't seen before, or if I had seen them it's been so long that I had just forgotten. e.g., the Frank Sinatra episode where Fred thinks that Rollo stole Frank Sinatra's ring and then tries to return it. I don't remember ever seeing that episode before. I watched Disc Three last night and the episodes on there I noticed that I had seen those plenty of times. Maybe they play some episodes more than other episodes???? Or maybe it is just a coincedence that I always happen to miss the same episodes???? I don't know. Anyway, on one of the episodes from disc three, I think it was the episode where Lamont goes to the shrink because he's always getting headaches and the doctor tells him that he hates his father, anyway, at the end of that episode, as the credits roll, they left on the original voice over "promo" where Fred says "Watch next week to see if Lamont . . . ., etc." And then Lamont comes on and says something. That's nice, you wouldn't hear that on TVLand. They would blurt it out to put in one of their own voice-overs. Anyway, even if that one particular episode isn't on there, it's still worth every penny, IMHO. I did notice that the earlier episodes in this season were better than the laters ones in this season. And there are some CLASSIC battles between Fred and Ester in season four!!!! LOL

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

I thought the Complete Fourth Season DVD was well worth the money; seeing the un-cut episodes and seeing the unedited version of The Surprise Party Episode...I am a member of a DVD club and receive a discount on the DVDs that I order..So I did not spend a lot of money...But Solomon I highly recommend the DVD...

I will buy it. I found out that it was an error on the episode guide on tvtome.com The Over The Hill Gag is supposed to be on the episode List for season 5 not 4.

ok ok, I realize that some of you have pointed this out... but it is absolutely TRUE that "The Over The Hill Gag" episode is #87.. which is the FIRST episode of season 5... it is NOT missing from the season 4 DVD set, the season 4 DVD set is 100% COMPLETE and as it should be.

Trust me folks, when the season 5 DVD set is released, "The Over The Hill Gag" episode will be the FIRST episode on Disc 1.

THE RECORD IS NOW STRAIGHT!! :-)
