honestly cannot see how this show held the attention of adults. Was this more a KID''s comedy? Even though there are no kids in the show it seems like the Mork character is silly enough for kids to watch the show every week.

There are some kids in the show, and Mork seems to connect with them better than most adults... Eugene is in the first season, and then later Mork works at a daycare center and some of the kids from there visit the house.
I don't know how many kids would've gotten some of the jokes on the show, especially the political ones. Then again, maybe. Sometimes I don't get the jokes when they're about popculture back in the 70's and 80's. The show was cancelled several years before I was born. |

I can only speak for myself. Of course I was not an adult when this show began, but seeing the Mork character was certainly different. Here was this guy who can do imitations, these body movements, he was a comedian but in a whole different way. I think Jim Carrey must have borrowed from Robin Williams because they are similar as far as how they express themselves with their facial expressions, body movements as well as the funny lines.
Robin Williams was unique that's for sure. Making the character an alien made for some laughs because if he was a "normal" character, it may seem like the guy is stupid or something. |

The Mork Character just seemed more entertaining on Happy days and for some reason he was completely different once he got his own show. On HD, he was more of a alien and less NUTTY |
