Did anyone see last nights Dave Letterman show? He had his assistant Stephanie come out dressed like Mary was in the opening of her show and thow her hat in the air while Paul Shaffer's band played the theme song!! It was part of his salute to Minneapolis. However Stephanie said she had NEVER seen the show!!!!

(OMG). Anyway, not to be out done, guest Johnny Knoxville came out wearing the hat while the theme was playing and threw it in the air too!! LOL...

If I recall correctly, David Letterman is grateful to Mary Tyler Moore for giving him his start in show business. I believe he was on her variety show in the 70s.

Since then, she's a frequent guest and they are fond of one another.
