This show is a good example of something that is entertaining because it is not meant to be taken seriously on any level. Of all the versions of Batman, including the comic book, this is the only one that I like because it is so unlike the dark, forboding feel of the others.

I was surprised when as a teenager I read a book about the Emmy Awards and saw that the show was nominated as a comedy series. As a child, I thought it was a drama like the 1950s version of Superman. What did I know?
