Hi I'm new to these boards.
I actually enjoyed this show. I watched it in syndication though, not in it's original run. It did have poor ratings, but it was one of the WB's first shows (it came on one week after the network debuted- The Wayans Brothers, its companion show, was the network's very first program) so WB wanted to hold onto it to build a fan base. The little boy who played Nicholas seemed to have either a lisp or a speech impediment that made it difficult to understand him half the time. I wonder why they cast him in the part. He was overweight while none of the other family members were. As for the other actors, the girl who played CeCe was clearly more than 3 when the show started and the things that came out of her mouth were not anything any 3 year old I know could possibly think up. Zaria seemed to be around more for her looks than anything else, which certainly wasn't the case with Michael who was by far a much more accomplished actor than almost anyone else in the show (including Robert Townsend). As for TK he was appealing, but its odd that he hasn't done much since this show ended. hopefully he took time off to get a college degree or two to fall back on. |
