come to think about it, there are so many shows in Nick At Nite/TV Land's vaults, that I think they should expand and become like HBO or VH1 (which has rock, classic rock, r&b and country channels) and come up with 4 seperate channels*
1. Nick At Nite Golden. (1951-1965) the vintage 50's and early 60's classics ala Beaver, Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith, etc.... 2. Nick At Nite Classic (1965-1975) shows like Mary Tyler Moore, Bewitched, Green Acres, All In The Family (post-75 seasons count too, but this is the era it's most linked with) 3. Nick At Nite III (1975-1985) shows like Happy Days, Three's Company, Facts Of Life, Taxi, etc... 4. Modern Nick At Nite (1985-1995) more "recent" shows like Cosby, Roseanne, Full House, Wings, Family Ties, Cheers, etc.. *-denotes that I know quite a few of those shows had episodes running before or after these eras, but that this would be where it fits in best. With those 4 channels, as well as a drama station, etc.. I think it would be a lot better so fans of all generations of tv shows have a network for them, as opposed to everyone being forcefed Cosby Show when they really want Three's Company, etc... |

I just want a channel that shows classic sitcoms. By classic, I mean shows from the 50's and 60's. TV Land doesn't cut it for me anymore. I want my old Nick at Nite back.
Shows Like: The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963) The Donna Reed Show (1958-1966) Make Room for Daddy (1953-1964) My Three Sons (1960-1972) Car 54, Where Are You? (1961-1963) Mister Ed (1961-1966) The Patty Duke Show (1963-1966) Dennis the Menace (1959-1963) Basically, classics that don't get aired all that much. I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver and Gilligan's Island are definately classics, but they've been played so many times. |

Isn't TV Land for all the really old shows? They used to advertise it on Nick. But yeah, they should expand in order to fit more shows. My personal favorite would be the modern N@N.

I agree that N@N and TVLand should expand to seperate stations.
But I believe they should be seperated differently: Vintage TVLand - 1950s where it all began. Golden TVLand - 1960s the campiest decade of all time. Classic TVLand - 1970s the decade that changed television. Modern TVLand - 1980s the most popular decade for TV. and N@N which will remain on Nickelodeon showcasing classic sitcoms from the 90s. Each network (besides N@N) would feature classic sitcoms, dramas, variety shows and game shows, but NO daytime soaps. No sitcom would air more than 4 times a day. And no drama would air more than twice a day. |

I've always thought it would be fun to have a TV Land 80s Network. I agree with the original poster that there are so many shows that TV Land/N@N could have several networks. I think it would be cool to have a network devoted to 80s television all day.

I'm happy with just two. TVLand for 50s-early 80s, N@N for late 80s-90s.

Also, each of these extra networks should be commercial free.
