Default Help Me List Disney-Related Sitcom Episodes!

I posted this in the Tape Trading section, but I think it actually belongs in this section. Anyhow, if I am able to delete that thread I will..

EDIT: Could a mod delete my identical post in the Tape trading section?

On to my question...

I've been collecting sitcoms involving an episode or two where the characters in the sitcom visit a Disney park or attraction. Here's what sitcoms I know of where this happened. I need help finding other sitcoms where they devoted an episode or two to Disney parks. If you know of any, please post.

Roseanne:
8-17 917 20-Feb-1996 We're Going to Disney World (1)
8-18 918 27-Feb-1996 Disney World War II (2)

The Simpsons
14-7 EABF02 05-Jan-2003 Special Edna (a.k.a. Love and Marking)

Step by Step
5-22 457173 03-May-1996 We're Going to Disney World (1)
5-23 457174 10-May-1996 We're Going to Disney World (2)

Family Matters
6-22 456224 28-Apr-1995 We're Going to Disney World (1)
6-23 456225 05-May-1995 We're Going to Disney World (2)

Full House
6-23 11-May-1993 The House Meets the Mouse (1)
6-24 18-May-1993 The House Meets the Mouse (2)

According to Jim
3-18 24-Feb-2004 When You Wish to Be a Star (1)
3-19 02-Mar-2004 When You Wish to Be a Star (2)

Sabrina the Teenage Witch
2-23 049 24-Apr-1998 Disneyworld

Boy Meets World
3-21 B666 10-May-1996 The Happiest Show On Earth

What am I missing?

I dunno about Drew. I looked through the episode list at tvtome.com and none seemed to reflect any Disney outtings. You may be thinking of Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous attraction at Disney's MGM Studios. If anyone can tell me the specific episode though, it would be appreciated.

Anyone know if any episodes of Home Improvement involved a Disney trip?

both Drew Carey and Home Improvement NEVER went to Disney World.

However.... you may be able to find old NBC episodes of "The Wonderful World of Disney" (or whatever it was called then).... they had one in 1989 or 1990 celebrating 35 Years of Disneyland.... and MOST of the cast of "Cheers" was there in character.

When did Disney buy ABC? Because almost every show on that list was on ABC. Is it in the show's contract or something that they have to do a 1/2 hour or hour free advertisement for a Disney park? Interestingly enough though, Growing Pains never went to Disney World. It was a choice on their family vacation list, but they chose to do vacation eps in Hawaii and Europe.

You don't see CBS or NBC shows going to Disney parks.

Disney bought ABC in the mid 90's, I believe. Nope, no other network show is going there- they'd never get authorization from Disney to tape there.

But when you think about it, ABC is really the only network with the types of comedies that would go to Disney, besides maybe "Yes, Dear" or "Still Standing"

ABC and Disney have gone hand in hand since way back in the 50's. In fact, Disneyland was built because ABC basically contracted Walt Disney to host these hour-long specials every week describing Disneyland ideas in exchange for funds to help build Disneyland. Disney needed the money to build Disneyland and ABC needed the sponsors around a solid television program people would be interested in watching. The two have been basically married. It's no surprise that those Disney park-related sitcoms were mostly ABC network offerings (the Simpsons were basically mocking Epcot, sorta like one of the early episodes of Futurama where the crew visited the moon and rode a themed-ride describing how the moon was colonized (by sailors with harpoons, poking fun at Pirates of the Carribean, lol)).

Disneyland truely is the happiest place on earth.
I dont know who's heard of them.... but of all of the Walt Disney Treasures DVDs.... "Disneyland USA" is my favorite.

That's exactly how I knew about the ABC-Disney relationship and Disneyland. That DVD Treasure set is one of my favorites too. The original Disneyland opening special as seen on the ABC network during that time was astounding to watch. Not being born til '76, it was before my time, but its when live newscasting started to take form. The first reality TV programming of its time!

Drew hosted a special about Disney World that aired on ABC...it wasn't part of the sitcom though.

As for the shows, I can't think of any others.

I finally have recorded part 1 of that According to Jim episode that aired the other day. Now I have all of these sitcom episodes with the Disney theme park references. I'd like to think I have all of these types of shows, but can anyone who has not seen this thread think of any shows I am missing? There wasn't a Cosby Show or Fresh Prince episode or anything?

The kids and Tony went to Disney World in an episode from 1984, I think. They didn't go on location, but it was announced they went to Disney World.

There was never a Disney episode of The Drew Carey Show. Some of you might be thinking of an episode of The Rosie O'Donnell Show, in which Rosie went to Disney's California Adventure theme park with the cast of The Drew Carey Show.

Also, while there was never a Disney episode of The Cosby Show, there was a commercial in the 80s featuring the cast of TCS singing about Disney World to the tune of "Zip-a-dee-doo-da". I think it was shot on location at the park.
