Lightbulb Request To Television Station

I just sent a request to WCIU-TV (Channel 26) in Chicago, Illinois about maybe showing episodes of Small Wonder in the near future.

Who knows.....this could be the start of bringing the show back nationally.

Hopefully, I will get a response from them very soon. In the meantime, let's keep our fingers crossed.

At one point I do know that KDOC (www.kdoctv.net) in L.A. was considering airing it after many fans from here (SitcomsOnline) and www.SmallWonder.tv sent them several e-mails. But they eventually decided not to air it because it might not of appealed to their general audience.

But if you still want to send some stations e-mails regarding "Small Wonder," here are some links...

*The only reason why included FOX was because I do know that "SW" is a FOX show, and it was aired in several of their affiliates. I recommend e-mailing your local FOX station as well.

I would think ABC Family would be a good network to write.

I emailed my local FOX station (WRLH FOX 35 - Richmond, VA) not too long ago, and they said that it wasn't in their plans to air Small Wonder.

Maybe it would be a good show on ABC Family, but they would butcher the closing credits. Part of why I like the show is because of the opening/closing credits and if they destroy it like they do other shows on the network, then I'll be really angry.

I'll try e-mailing many TV stations to see if they'll air the shows or not (and if they do, hopefully they will air the shows in order and not cut parts of the show for commercial slots).

Actually, I also think that ABC Family is currently the best place for "SW," I don't mind if they butchered the closing credits as long as they air the sitcom.

Now that I think about it, ABC Family would be the best place to show Small Wonder.

The trick is for them to ask not only FOX for the rights to the show, but also ask each of the 5 companies that owns Small Wonder together known as The Small Wonder Joint Venture.

FOX could go ahead and let ABC Family air the sitcoms, but without the approval of the 5 companies that own the show itself, the plan is a no-go.

I don't know the exact names, but they make up this one company called The Small Wonder Joint Venture.

And with addition to FOX, they each own a piece of the show.

Yep, there is (or should I say was). But, I think that they still own some rights to Small Wonder (if the company even exists).

I doubt it still exists, I think FOX owns all of SW.

I think that FOX owns it as well. I tried to do a search for that Joint Venture thing and nothing came up.

Oh well, hopefully it will come back on the air someday, but in the meanwhile, I'll keep on looking at the episodes on DVD.
