Today was my first time to ever watch
this movie. It was pretty good, there's
just one thing I don't understand, why
did Nancy's character protect her sister's ex-boyfriend, Michael? I will
admit, I missed a few scenes, so that
didn't help.

I think she protected him 1) because she was in love with him 2) she has known him for a long time and she must of done it in the name of friendship.

#2 sounds stupid but wouldn't you protect a friend. I know he was trying to hurt her sister, but she was so jealous of her sister. Who really knows why just a guess.

i think she protected him because she wanted him to love her and she had been alone 4 so long.kinde like what jinsthewoman said. btw, i love that movie.
