Default J Lo to guest star on season finale

Jennifer Lopez has plans to return to the small screen, this time to liven up "Will & Grace." She's shooting her guest part next week for the NBC sitcom's one-hour season finale, which will air April 29. ...

Wow, the season finale is airing early! I was wondering why NBC has been airing new episodes in the last three weeks, this being March and all.

What's NBC going to do for the last Thursday of sweeps then? Oh, I think I know: repeat of the Friends finale, repeat of the Frasier finale and the season finale of ER.

Punctuation please....

W&G has been looking, for the longest while, like a stunt show. While Drew Carey tried to everything "stunty" he could on his show (ie- live episodes, musicals, ect), W&G is doing the same thing, only with guest stars.

The only guests I can honestly say I've really enjoyed on W&G and who fit into the story well were Matt Damon, Bebe Newirth (from the week's episode, the plotline was VERY weak, but Bebe was very good) and Cher.

Madonna? Please. Rather thank having her play some kind of flake, she would have been much more interesting, funny and in character as a drag queen friend of Jack's.

Actress Debra Messing, star of the NBC hit comedy "Will & Grace," has been ordered to stay off her feet for the rest of her pregnancy, forcing her to miss the show's final four episodes this season, the network said on Tuesday.

An NBC spokesman said production of the Thursday night sitcom has been quietly proceeding for the past three weeks without Messing, 35, who is eight months pregnant and expecting her first child with screenwriter-husband Daniel Zelman at the end of April.

Messing's spokeswoman, Annett Wolf, said the flame-haired actress is doing "great," though her doctor "ordered her to be careful and take it easy, and preferably bed rest." She added there were "no complications" with the pregnancy.

As a result, her character is being written out of the final episodes, including the one-hour season finale set to air April 29 with a guest appearance by singer-actress Jennifer Lopez.

Messing won an Emmy Award last year as best actress for her role as Grace Adler Markus, a straight interior designer who is best friends with a gay lawyer named Will.

The finale, which is being filmed this week, will center around the wedding of Grace's outlandish friend, Karen, who is played by Megan Mullally. She is getting married to a character played by British comedian John Cleese.

The network spokesman said he did not have details about how Messing's character was being written out of the show for the finale but said it would involve Grace being sick and unable to attend the wedding. Last season, Grace married her new love interest, played by Harry Connick Jr.

Although a previous story line involved Grace attempting to have a baby fathered by Will, Messing's character is not pregnant on the show, which requires producers to obscure her condition this season with a lot of shots of her sitting down and wearing loose-fitting clothes.

"Will & Grace," nearing the end of its sixth season, is one of NBC's top-rated shows in prime time and has averaged about 15.4 million viewers this season.

I won't be surprised if W&G' next season wil be their last since their contracts like '70s expire next season. This show unfortunately like '70s is running out of steam! The only funny characters are Jack and Karen. The main people are just not that funny anymore! W&G should go out like '70s show when both shows end next year!

I guess the Grace/Leo storyline won't be resolved this year.

I disagree with the previous post!....I think it's fun to have all those guest stars on....I mean, it's not like they get a bunch of no-names...these are HUGE stars!....I think they're fun!!! Is there anyone on this board that actually LIKES this show? Every thread I've read so far is about how everyone thinks it's tired and boring and over!....Does anyone know of a board where people actually DO like this show, cuz I'd like to go there!!! Thanks

I've seen the CHER episodes...I think my brother taped those, but I taped the Madonna one - only watched it once, though. hee hee! I can't wait to see the Bebe Neuwirth episode! I'm sure I'll be ROTFLMAO at that ONE!

oh i LOVE the cher episodes!

I actually thought the j-lo episode was pretty weak - the writing wasn't at its best...well, it hasn't been for a while.
