The Janitor and J.D. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey guys. I'm fairly new to this show and I enjoy it a lot. One question I have is this: have they ever said why the janitor hates J.D. so much? I think it's funny how every character just refers to his as "janitor", no one ever knows his real name.

No reason. He just likes giving him crap. In the first episode J.D was waiting by the door and the janitor was fixing it. J.D. jokingly said "maybe there is a penny stuck in it", and the janitor asked him if he stuck a penny in it.

I think it was the end of the first season or start of the second season when the same thing happened to a new intern, but he joked that maybe there was a paper clip in the door. So of coarse the janitor asked if he stuck a paper clip in the door.
