Default The Art of Editing

Since it had been a few years since I saw episodes of this show, I could not pinpoint where Lifetime was cutting scenes out. However, in the episode where Ritchie and Potsie enter the dance contest with the girls, I found a cut. During the dance number, when Laverne is telling Ritchie what to do, there was a scene where Laverne tells Ritchie to bend over and tie his shoes. While he does this, Laverne jumps over him. Has anyone else noticed edits during the Lifetime airings?

I've been a fan of this show since the 70's and it bugs me to no end to see this and other shows butchered. This reminds me of Nick's infamous decimation of Jack's hilarious dance number in that particular "Three's Company" episode.

Yeah I remember watching the dance scene between Laverne and Richie and knew something was missing because i have that episode UNCUT but i couldn;t remember exactly what was cut out of that scene. I have to see the UNCUT again later so i can see what was cut out.

I've been noticing a lot of really bad edits, such as conversations not even being finished before a scene switch, as well as transition music overlapping with dialogue.

I've heard laughter either stop or start in abrupt and not gradual fashion, signaling that something was cut out.

Has anyone noticed edits? How could you not! Lifetime has made a ridiculous number of cuts on every episode that it's not even funny. I'll bet there's probably a good 5 minutes missing from each ep, if not more...ugh...

Don't get me wrong, I love this show and I'm glad it's airing again, but...just way too many edits...they're really butchering them...
